We at Chicago Northside Toyota Scion already see the value of the Toyota brand quite clearly. In fact, we believe it can be pinpointed in the many great models of the new Toyota lineup such as the Camry and Corolla.
However, when an unbiased third party which also happens to be a global leader in brand evaluation and market research also is impressed with Toyota, well that is something very special.
And incidentally, it is also the case with the marketing experts over at Interbrand who, each year, for the last thirteen, has published a list of the 100 Best Global Brands.
And, wouldn't you know it, Toyota not only made the list, but it held the top spot among the fourteen automakers chosen (tenth) and improved upon its own value from last year by 17 percent.
Interested in learning more about the list and how Toyota performed so well on it?
Speaking to the traits that brands must possess to be recognized globally, and for the list, Interbrand's Global CEO, Jez Frampton says:
"In today's global and social media-obsessed marketplace, brand leaders recognize the need to be highly collaborative. The top 100 most valuable global brands are unlocking their value by participating, listening, learning, and sharing – and not just with leaders from within their organization, but with consumers too. Brands that learn to think differently about the role they play in consumers' lives – and how to fulfill that role – have an opportunity to change the world in ways they never imagined."1
