What do Jay Leno and Tim Allen have in common? Other than both being extremely successful actors/comedians, is that they are both in charge of rather substantial car collections. Now what does this have to do with us here at Chicago Northside Toyota, well let me explain.
It all started out with a friendly wager, a drag race, and a very simple rule, the car that is raced must be a completely stock, factory original car. While Leno follows this rule, Allen brings 1955 Ford Club Coupe which should be outfitted with a 272 Y-Block engine that puts out around 160 horsepower, but instead it is outfitted with a 2005 Ford GT engine putting out 550 horsepower.
Now here is where the Camry comes in. Jay Leno, not wanting to be outdone, leaves and come backs with what appears to be a stock Toyota Camry, except for the body being slightly lowered and new tires, it looks stock, kind of. Underneath the hood of this Camry is 850 very angry and very supercharged horse. Paired with the wet nitrous system for just a little extra something and we get to see a strip ready Toyota Camry.
