2027 Toyota Camry Trim Levels Explained
The Camry lineup is simpler than it used to be: one hybrid powertrain, five trims, and all-wheel drive available on every one of them. The choice comes down to how the car looks (SE and XSE are the sport trims, LE and XLE the comfort trims) and how much tech you want on the dash. Here is the 2027 lineup with Toyota's numbers.

Quick answer
The 2027 Camry comes as LE ($29,700), SE ($32,200), Nightshade ($33,200), XLE ($34,900) and XSE ($36,100), all with the same 2.5-liter hybrid system: 225 hp with front-wheel drive or 232 hp with the $1,525 all-wheel-drive option. LE is the mileage leader at 51 mpg combined; the others are rated 46 (XSE AWD 43). SE, Nightshade and XSE have the sport suspension, paddle shifters and black trim; XLE and XSE get leather-trimmed seats, a 12.3-inch digital cluster and the 12.3-inch touchscreen, with a JBL system, head-up display, panoramic roof and ventilated seats in their option packages.

What each step up buys
- LE: the efficiency pick. Fabric seats, 16-inch wheels, the 8-inch screen and the best mileage in the range at 51 mpg combined. Heated seats and the auto-dimming mirror are in an option package.
- SE: sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, paddle shifters, sport pedals and an 8-way power driver's seat. Mileage drops to 46 combined because of the wheels and tune.
- Nightshade: an SE with 19-inch black wheels, black badges, mirrors and trim. Same equipment, same mpg, $1,000 more.
- XLE: back to the comfort suspension on 18-inch two-tone wheels, plus leather and microfiber seats heated and powered on both sides, the 12.3-inch touchscreen and digital cluster, smart key on all doors and ambient lighting. Option packages add a JBL 9-speaker system, head-up display, ventilated seats, memory seat, panoramic roof and Digital Key.
- XSE: the XLE's interior and screens on the SE's suspension with 19-inch wheels, leather seats and a heated steering wheel with paddles. The same option packages as XLE. AWD XSE is the one trim rated under 46 mpg (43).

Which Camry trim should you buy
- Commuting and mileage first: LE. The 51-mpg rating is five better than any other trim and the price gap to SE pays for a lot of gas.
- You want it to look and feel sporty without paying for leather: SE, or Nightshade if you like the black-out look.
- You want the big screens and heated leather, and you ride on Chicago pavement: XLE on the comfort suspension is the quietest, softest Camry.
- You want everything: XSE with the premium package, or an XLE with the same package if you prefer the softer ride.
- Snow belt, no garage: add AWD to whichever trim; it is the same price on all five.
