Toyota is well-known for manufacturing some of the most efficient new vehicles on the market, from the groundbreaking Prius hybrid of two decades ago, to the new hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai. However, Toyota's commitment to the environment goes beyond simply reducing carbon emissions.

With the huge success already surrounding the Prius lineup, we're excited to introduce you to the all-new 2017 Prius Prime, which made its debut last week at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. As the fourth-generation Prius, the plug-in hybrid boasts a futuristic look and larger battery pack. And, with an estimated 120 MPGe, Toyota is on its way to claiming the top-spot as the highest MPGe for any plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.

When most people think about the Toyota Prius, they think about fuel efficiency. Of course this vehicle does offer impressive fuel economy, but the new 2016 model also offers a stylish new look and some impressive performance. You can see it showing its stuff in the video below.

Clearly fuel economy is not the only thing this vehicle has going for it. The 58 city mpg is definitely a huge perk, but it is one of the many exciting things this hybrid has to offer.

Imagine how many miles a typical tractor trailer or big rig travels on average in a year’s time. If you guessed somewhere in the ballpark of 140 billion miles, you’re very close.
