If a safety light does not come on at start-up
Toyota warns that if a safety system light such as the ABS or SRS airbag warning light does not come on when you start the vehicle (Toyota's wording: when you start the hybrid system), those systems may not be available to help protect you in an accident, which Toyota says could result in death or serious injury. Toyota's instruction is to have the vehicle inspected by a Toyota dealer immediately if this happens.
