The layout: why the gauges sit where they do
The driver display is a 7-inch screen mounted on top of the dash, far forward, so your eyes barely move from the road to read speed, battery state and the hybrid power flow. The steering wheel is small and sits low; on a test drive, set the wheel first and make sure it does not block the display, because the fix is seat height rather than wheel tilt. The center touchscreen is 8 inches on LE and 12.3 inches on XLE, Nightshade and Limited, with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on both.

Details that matter day to day
- Six USB-C ports: two in front, two in the console, two for the rear seat. There is no USB-A, so bring the right cable.
- Dual-zone climate control with pollen filtration is standard on every trim.

- The cargo tonneau cover is standard, which is rarer than it should be in this class.
